A delightfully perverted tale of debility, dependency, dread, debauchery, mind control and the chastisment and exploitation of a group of vulnerable young ladies. Campbell, Richard Manson et al: Filling the gaps, extending the ideas, pushing forward where such craftsman left off while simultaneously introducing a new subtlety hitherto usually found sadly absent in such literature .

A tale of shameless exploitation, humiliation, strict discipline and humbling uniforms – of girls caned in plastic and latex knickers - of strict nurses wielding leather tawses, martinets and supple switches – of psychological coercion and medical restraints – of a young heiress denied both her freedom and fortune and robbed of promise and aspiration, placed behind bars in prison uniform under the guise of a psychology experiment - of a once vivacious young woman, crushed by discipline and punishment and … confined to the workhouse.

"Half their number were saddled with the additional encumberment of a plastic card hung around the neck on a thin, silvery chain-link lanyard spelling out the label ‘STUTTERER’ in glossy raised gold capitals. A member of that group marked out by one of those placards balanced across the bustline of her gymslip could expect to receive a stroke or two of the cane, strap or tawse across an outstretched palm for something as innocuous as a repeated word or simple verbal stumble. Berated for the tiniest slip, they would be told to take their time, avoid 'long words' and those they thought they couldn’t pronounce. It was an insidious process, one she worried was exacerbating rather than relieving her condition. But she couldn't leave, nor could she question the procedure; not if she wanted to avoid receiving a few fiery cuts across her bare bottom, courtesy of the study director's cane."

Strict nurses in polyester uniform dresses and latex and PVC aprons, young ladies returned to school uniform and strict boarding school discipline, curbed by restrictive corselets, plastic and rubber knickers and even diapers – others put in nylon prison dresses – still others placed in straightjackets. This is experiment psychology gone awry. An institution that is easy enough to join as a research volunteer, but not nearly so easy to leave – the girls kept incarcerated in the bowels of the secure psychiatric unit soon learn that after a hard caning in a straight jacket, a spanking over Matron’s knee or a few nights spent corner standing and denied sleep, they will sign anything.
